Information for National General Chapter Members:

In 2011, Pi Kappa Delta and the National Forensic League formed
a strategic partnership designed to increase the number of students
participating in speech and debate activities at the intercollegiate level.
A key component of this plan was the creation of a National General
Chapter of Pi Kappa Delta and the designation of PKD as the NFL's
official alumni organization.

As a result of these changes, any NFL alumni member attending
college at any accredited college or university may join Pi Kappa
Delta and participate in intercollegiate forensic activities; enter the
PKD National Tournament and Convention; apply for scholarships,
grants and international service opportunities; participate in PKD
governance; and otherwise enjoy all of the benefits of Pi Kappa Delta
membership.

High school seniors may join the Pi Kappa Delta National General
Chapter as early as the spring semester of their senior year in high
school. If they attend college on a campus with an active PKD chapter,
the chapter sponsor can simply enroll them in the Local Chapter.
However, if they attend college on a campus without a forensics program,
or without an active PKD Chapter, they may contact the PKD National
Coordinator for information on how to create a Local Chapter at their
college or university.
